are is a tegend behind the name of this mountain. King Viranga. ruler of the ancient Lanna \gdom oi Chiang Mai wanted to marry the glamorous Queen Chamadevi of Hariphunchai ngdom (Lamphun). She wasn't keen. so she set him a challenge. He had 3 chances to throw iaveiin from Chiang Mai to Hariphunchai Kingdom. Viranga's first spear landed just outside ier city watts. so in panic. she sent him a jinxed turban which unbeknownst to him would acuatty sap his strength. Sure enough. proudly wearing his new hat. Viranga's second spear is“ we“ short of the target. In despair of his now failing strength he threw the third spear up in the air aiming for his own chest to kill himself. His last request to his people was to bury him where he would be able to see Lamphun. During the search for this spot. his coffin fell

ott the cart somewhere on this mountain. hence the name Coffin...

Most Knowledge signs don't include the English language

Exit road path is dangerous because it drives down from the hill and dangerous Curve

Expensive fees (For Foreign) Note. This place will close on a rainy day and bad weather because The walkway has installed lightning rods, and The walkway slip if raining it may cause serious injury

If you visit your car or rant car, I recommend using low speed (5 km/h or 3 miles/hour). Lowest gear (if possible) on a downhill path...

Nice scenery and good walk in the morning, especially in the cold morning. It was located inside Queen Sirikit Botanic garden. The walk way was made solid with steel instead of suspension bridge. It made walk way feel firmed with older people. On arrival of Garden entrance. Pay a reasonable price entrance fee. Follow the road sign along the way that lead you to the view point area. Show your entrance ticket to the guard at canopy walk way and off you go. Suitable for week end get away half to full day trip with family &...
