If you're going to the Emerald pool then you surely must go visit the Blue Pool as well. It took us about 20 minutes to walk from the Emerald pool to the Blue Pool with two little kids of 2 and 4. So from the entrance of the park it will be a 45 minute walk one way.
Unlike the perfect concrete paths from the entrance of the park towards the Emerald Pool, the path to the Blue Pool is only for about half of it like that. The rest is just about walking through the jungle on dirt paths with many treeroots.
This place is truly magical. The bright blue color of the water, the sounds of nature all around you, the small bubbles constantly arising from the soil to the water surface and maybe even mostly the thought that on this mountain deep inside the jungle warm water just arises from the earth and creates the flow which goes down to the Emerald Pool is mind blowing.
