This is such a large closed off area/ property. The infrastructure is beautiful, including the bathroom layout (which I'll later comment on). We didn't queue as we went with a tourist company so they collected the cash in the morning when we met and went to pay for us upon arrival. We didn't wait 10 minutes at the gate.
You walk a little bit to find the 2 pools with warm water, one deeper and larger than the other. You can swim in either. Right next to it, is a large stream of water flowing. It's beautiful, really. Keep walking past the pools to get to the hit springs which is flowing on and around some rocks, again, breath-taking! You can go in there too, and the water is a nice kind of warm, not off-putting even with the heat and humidity of the weather. It feels soothing, you feel your muscles relax. You can sit under a stream of the water for massaging effect. I would spend about 60-90 minutes at the facility as the water is warm. But you can sit outside and place your legs only to cool off.
Now coming back to the bathroom, it is ridiculously unhygienic!! It smells from the distance before you see it, when you walk in, it's appalling. Full of water on the passage and in the cubicles! No place to put your bag, and worst of all, no tissue in any of the cubicles, not even empty rolls to show that it recently finished! I understand culturally they don't want us to flush it, so they could pit a sign like our hotels and a bin that closes to contaim all that smell! Also, employing a cleaner to go in and inspect every 15-30 minutes and tidy up would help a lot, especially because it's a busy place with pools, so people will be in and out, changing and dripping on the floors! Perhaps even a few changing rooms to keep the actual toilet cubicles dry. Entrance fee is 200 Baht (I went there on 11 Nov 2025), please check new prices in case they update. I think with the traffic and given that there’s a always a new wave of people, they can afford to improve the cleanliness and quality of the bathrooms (building itself is big with +/- 8 toilet cubicles)
Overall, I recommend the Hotsprings! It's a beautiful tourist attraction site that's worth the while. Also close to Emerald pool, maybe 10 minutes drive or so, so you can put these activities on the same day. I o ly gave 4 stars because of...
Read moreThis is a scam place for all tourists. This is not the real Krabi hot springs. Also beware my passport and money was stolen in this place.
I had a sling bag which had my passport, driving license and money. I gave the lady at the counter 1000 bhat from the sling bag and asked for change. She started speaking something in Thai and asked me to follow her. After entering I realised I had come to the wrong place, I started checking for the real place on my phone. In 2 mins I came back to the counter and told them I was at the wrong place, still the lady asked me to pay 50 bhat for taking a look at the place. When I started leaving I realised my sling bag was missing, there were only 2 people in the park. Now everyone here says Thai people are genuine and nobody steals but it seems that is not true at all. The police also didn't ask any questions to the owner of other people and just created a report of a lost passport to hide the problems in this country. NEVER...
Read moreWe visited the hot springs a couple of days ago, and the experience was extremely disappointing. All the pools were visibly dirty and poorly maintained. My friends and I were genuinely worried about hygiene and the risk of skin infections. We walked around the entire area and stayed for only about 10 minutes because everything looked so filthy that we didn’t feel safe getting in the water.
We asked for a refund since we couldn’t use the facilities, but our request was declined. This made the experience even more frustrating. We were really looking forward to a relaxing day, but instead we left feeling uncomfortable and disappointed.
The place seriously needs proper cleaning and better...
