Hua Takhe Old Market — Attraction in Lat Krabang Subdistrict

Please DONT do the cat boat experience! DO NOT support this place!! First of all, If you know anything about cats, they don’t like water. They’re subjected to and pushed to jump boat to boat just to entertain guests but you can clearly see they’re stressed and anxious. Some even fell into the water and got soaked. It’s very sad. Cats were hiding at the front end of the boat for protection (underneath the lid) and the workers would poke and jab at them to come out. You can hear them moaning and hissing at each other as well. The cats are being fed yes but the people on the boat are treating the cats badly. They made them work and they drag the cats and force them to stay on guests shoulders.

At one point, The workers started to pull the cats arms at an awkward angle just to get them to jump up on people and onto other boats. theyre forcing the cats to get into positions for pictures. That’s so sad 😞 I looked at the reviews online and people say the cats are being taken good care of, yes they are fed but they are pretty much slaves having to go through this stress daily just for people’s amusement. Terrible. I regret paying for this experience and supporting the establishment 😔

ใช่ แมวได้รับอาหาร แต่คนบนเรือปฏิบัติกับแมวอย่างโหดร้าย พวกเขาบังคับให้แมวทำงาน ลากตัวมัน และจับมันให้อยู่บนไหล่ของแขก

首先，如果你了解貓，你就會知道牠們不喜歡水。但這個地方強迫貓咪從一艘船跳到另一艘船來娛樂遊客。你可以明顯看到牠們很緊張、很焦慮。有些貓甚至掉進水裡，全身濕透，真的很可憐。

有些貓為了保護自己，躲在船頭的蓋子底下，但工作人員用東西戳牠們，強迫牠們出來。你還能聽到貓咪發出哀鳴和嘶吼聲。

確實，這些貓有被餵食，但船上的人對牠們很殘忍。他們讓貓「工作」，強行拖動牠們，甚至強迫貓待在人類的肩膀上。

有一次，我看到工作人員把貓的手臂以奇怪的角度拉扯，強迫牠們跳到人身上或另一艘船上。他們還強迫貓擺出特定姿勢讓遊客拍照。真的太可憐了...

A hidden GEM! Wow its sooo beautiful to see how this really old market is slowly turning into a kind of vintage musea with such a lovely artsy coffeeshops. You can also make art by yourself here, like painting or making a necklace with beads. I was in a hotel here around cause its close to the airport and thought there was nothing much around untill i found this spot. Tip: the vintage coffeeplace in front of the art place has amazinggggg iced cacao with oatmilk. Omg. Went even back the next day! Happy to see that the people here want to keep the traditional market alive. Love to see...

Quiet & calm place to run away from the busy city life.

The fastest way is to take Airport rail link (ARL) & get off at Latkrabang station to get Minibus (songthaew) or Grab to this place.

Or you can check train schedule from Asoke (Mrt Phetchaburi station) to Hua Ta Khe train station too. I missed the train schedule so getting here by ARL & Grab.

The vibe is really calm here. Most of the properties here are old-style traditional local houses.

There are plenty of food stalls & coffee shops by the river to match...
