Km. 12 Viewpoint — Attraction in Mae Fa Luang district

We drove from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai, along the way, we stop at this so named White temple, renowned for its shinny colour. It was an artistic architecture and draw the attention of most Thai peoples. The entire environment was well planned to become a tourist attraction and was successfully. Coaches come one after another with many tourists from local or aboard. No matter you are a Buddhist follower or others, the place here will give you an awesome feeling whenever you get down from the coach. With the wishing trees for good hope or the scenic view of the White Temple, people are begging for a good picture for themselves. Even the public toilet, is another highlight of this area since the entire toilet was all gold in colour making it an unique feature. If Km 12 had been on any other road you'd say the views are something out of the ordinary, but on this particular road, in this area the competition is very fierce between the "viewpoints" on who have the best view

But if Km 12 could lack a bit in view gainers it could easily take the prize for the area's best selection of snacks and souvenirs.

This little roadside pit stop has a coffee shop & restaurant & a few souvenir shops. During the pandemic doesn't have a lot of tourist traffic, but because there isn't a lot nearby it's a great place to hang out with locals.
