Spectacular, colorful, oh the scent of flowers in the air !!! The artistic arrangement of fields of flowers, structures , water , so intriguing. Take the optional golf cart down to save time + save your knee joints ( a lot of steps down from the parking lot above. You will have lots of meandering walk time through the Magnificent gardens. A myriad of colors & super oxygenated air awaits you. The drive up the Mountain reminds me of Nam Nao curves & bends along the road. No worries, perhaps a 15 minute drive up from the main motorway. The mythical Lanna kingdom dragon awaits your visit ! Have a group photo in the large scale twisted wooden birds nest. A cafe on grounds here for refreshments , plan on spending an hour easily , perhaps two on this M.F.L. garden. Other tour options are available. Thank you Chiang Rai , a personal note -- our young golf cart driver is a personable & Thai/ English speaking young man. He left his studies at grade 9 to accept care responsibilities for his entire family by choosing paid work. I rarely saw this in the U.S.A. as most everyone works in the family & many independently. The full compassion, unselfish acceptance of familial financial responsibilities is what resonates in this most special Thai culture. I am proud of this young man & these shared Thai values. This garden is well worth the drive up from Chiang Rai. Such a beautiful and well maintained garden. Entry is 90b for adults and 45b for seniors. Wander along the many pathways, check out the flowers and view of surrounding mountains, or just relax on one of the many shady benches. And don't forget to check out the orchid exhibit, for sure the largest assortment of lady slippers I've ever seen in one place. The garden is huge, so even if there's a crowd you can still find a little spot of your own. When I was there, the treetop section was closed, so keep that in mind before making the drive, if your heart was set on that.
