Snorkeling Spot Yanui Beach — Attraction in Man Island

Best place to snorkeling off the Phuket island and I've tried them all. No rubbish, visibility is OK. I think snorkeling around midday would be best. You can swim across from the main land (with fins), it's around 330m, sometime with mild current). If you are not a strong swimmer rent a life jacket as water is deep in the middle of the crossing. Wear as much protection as possible as there are big jellyfishes (50-80cm size) around at the crossing and lots of stinging small things in water. I highly recommend to wear gloves to wade you hands in front of your face while you swim so stinging things dot get in your face. Or else rent a kayak and tie them to the buoy. The water in the snorkeling spot has almost no jellyfishes. I saw tons of fishes, pufferfish, Murray eels, lobsters. Be careful of Kayak while swimming as many people don't know how to properly control them and will bump into you. It is a small adventure to be have just on Phuket Island. So long this is the best snorkeling location on phuket island you can get without a boat, albeit its a risky swim from yanui beach, even with flipers. Risky because its quite far away and there are boats which may run you over. Anyway, I have been to ao sane, merlin beaches which are known for snorkeling, they had more fish, but this location has more diversity of sea life. Also if you decide to swim there, keep in mind that there is no way to climb on the island without destroying your feet with stone barnacles or accidentally stepping on sea urchins.
