Been there twice now. Once at the end of March with friends, when water was very low after a few dry months. We all had to sit on our own raft so we could actually float. The tour was discounted, and it was slow and absolutely lovely. We all loved it. Went again in August with a friend who was visiting and the water was much higher with stronger current. We were able to sit on the same raft. We got the same"driver" as I got last time, nice dude who pointed out quite a few snakes in the trees and some frogs too. We went much faster than the first time and our bums were pretty wet at the end. It was very nice too, but I think I actually preferred the first time with less water because it was slower and felt even more chill. With more water, you can stop to swim at some point, which is great for those who want to. Water is very clean, but a bit cold for me. My friend thought it was perfect as it was. There were a lot more snakes in August. I didn't see any in March. Staff at the desk is lovely. Great activity for...
Read moreMyself and a friend drove ourselves there in our hire car. We turned up without a booking on a weekday in July. 600 Baht adult, 400 Baht child (cash only) per person. I wore swimming shorts and sandals. We changed in a toilet cubicle. Komol’s Corner Shop closed. It was a 5 minute transfer in a van tuktuk downhill along the tarmac road & rough track to the start. We were both put on the same long bamboo raft. The young man punting us along pointed out the wildlife. During the rafting we saw snakes in trees, a frog and a turtles on rocks. We turned down the offer for a swim halfway through. Our journey was 25 minutes over several sets of mini rapids. There are tortoises to view before you go from the stream up stairs to street level. Free coffee, small bottle of water and watermelon provided at finish. Snacks can be purchased. We bought a photo frame each, 200 Baht (photo taken after we boarded the raft). I took bug spray but...
Read moreA super touristic experience, but still very enjoyable!
The cost is 600 baht per person, and they also take a picture that you can later buy for 200 baht. No need to purchase anything in advance, just arrive to their starting point and you can pay there.
The rafting occurs on a bamboo raft, that one of their guides sailing for you, so literally all you have to do is sit there, take pictures and enjoy the ride. The ride takes 30-40 mins (depends on the high & low tide of the water in the river), and it can get a little wet, so wearing a bathing suit (or any other clothing suitable for getting wet) is very much recommended. There's also 1-2 stops on the way where they let you get into the water and swim for a little.
After finishing the ride, they serve you some fresh fruits & cold water which...
