Sawasdee Home Stay Resort & Pool — Hotel in Phang-nga Province

We stayed here for 3 nights during our month long trip to Thailand and it suited our needs well. The location is a little remote but the upside is that it is nice and quiet. We had a car so were able to go out and about but the owners can arrange scooter hire or trips or excursions including a pick-up.

We had a one bedroom place with a lovely balcony with views across the swimming pool to the wooded hills in the distance. We loved to sit out at the end of the day and enjoy a drink and the sunset. The room was large, spotlessly clean and the shower worked well. A slight negative was the fact that the power to the fridge goes off when you remove your room key to go out during the day so no cold drinks or ice when you return but the owner kindly supplied me with a bag of ice.

Evening meals have to be pre-booked and various breakfast choices are also available. We dined there on our first evening and also tried Ruanthai kitchen on the main road heading to Khao Lak which is very good.

The owners and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

This was the best resort we stayed in our 3 week holiday and we stayed in 8 different resorts. The room is new and spacious with a large balcony with a nice view. There is a big bathroom with hot water shower. Good TV with usb function and a quiet and good working airco. But most of all the beds were the best we slept in. Nice swimmingpool were you can read a book in! Owners are lovely and the breakfast was great. Other people complain that there is nothing around, but when you go left for 800 meters there is a big (main)road full of thai restaurants and markets. If you go right to the main road (true that is 1.5 km already) and go right on the main road, after 2 km there is a square on you left with lots of tourist restaurant, shops, pharmacy and hotels. Another 4 km and younare in Khao Lak. True, it is handy to have a motorbike and the owners are happy to provide you one. Bottom line, really nothing to complain and enjoyed our stay to...
