Than Sawan waterfall — Attraction in Phayao Province

Swimming is closed at this waterfall until further notice, due to covid-19. Not known when it will reopen for swimming. Everything around is closed, so we made a trip up from Chiang Mai but weren't able to see much of anything.

Overall it was really beautiful, but really disappointed that we couldn't get in. The rangers on duty were kind and tried to hello yes and point us towards a lake to swim in instead. It was a kind gesture but we're not a fan of the brown waters found in most of the lakes, especially after seeing the relatively clear water here...

paradise. The pictures are beautiful, but what the eyes see and the good feelings there are indescribable. This place is clean and tidy at an excellent level, a perfect piece of nature, truly paradise. I had the honor of visiting here, and will come here again. As in almost every park in northern Thailand, I spent time here alone, I did not see other travelers. Entrance to a foreigner 100 with a motorcycle another 20, worth every moment. During the short trip to phayao. Looking on recommendations. One of them was the Than Sawan waterfalls. Only 1 HR 10 minutes drive from Phayao. Well worth the visit. Only had time to visit the waterfalls and not venture further into the national park. But still worth it. Amazing scenery great...
