About: Khao Kalok Headland, which also includes Thaao Ko Sa Forest Park, is located approx. 31 km south of Hua Hin. It is a bit off the beaten track, in terms of a sightseeing experience, as the only way to get there from Hua Hin is by independent means (car or motorbike). The headland is quite extensive and aside from the picturesque, white sand beach along its northern edge, there are several challenging, nature trails running across the peak’s upper topography.
The nature trails: There are two starting points for the nature trails over the headland, and both join. When you arrive at the parking area at the northern end of the headland you’ll see an information office. You can try to talk to the park staff, but the reality is they don’t have good English language skills. If you ask about the nature trails they’ll likely point you towards the start of a trail which is just a few meters south of their office. This trail is on the western flank of the headland and goes up and over the top of the peak, to eventually join the trail which runs across to the remote beach on the other side of the headland. Having done both, my recommendation would be to do the trail to the remote beach first and then do the smaller trail on the return. The reason being, this second part of the trail is largely shaded by tree growth, whereas the one over to the remote beach is not. The directions for both trails are well marked and there are cement steps and haul ropes in place to aid on the more difficult stretches. From the road (parking area) at the very northern end of the headland, go onto the beach and follow the cliff line around to the east (you’ll be walking towards the sea). Approx. 100 meters around you’ll see a cement stairway which goes straight off the beach and up the cliff face, a couple of meters, before branching in two directions. Take the trail to the left, this is the one which crosses the headland. The branch to the right goes up to the top of the peak and provides a nice view along the beaches to the north. This trail eventually takes you back down to the western flank and the park office.

Trail is straightforward; not a lot of forks or side trails. It is pretty well-marked by ropes and painted arrows on rocks. Some parts require you to go under/around rocks and branches. You're going the right way!
At viewpoint, you have the option to continue to Say Beach which has some beautiful rock formations. Go at low tide to have the maximum explorable beach space.
Spent about an hour to go from the Khao Kalok trailhead to Say beach and back. Hiking solo and I'm pretty active.
Absolutely beautiful. Parking available at...
