Look, I had a great experience with the tigers. My friend and I went and loved seeing/interacting with the tigers. The staff feeds them chicken the whole time during the shoot and distracts the tigers behind the camera using props & they were kind staff. Didn’t seem like the tigers were sedated (but with saying that, all the tiger tourist attractions places say they don’t sedate but really do) so I’m not entirely sure as I’m not a tiger/vet expert and don’t know signs of sedation… but the tigers were quite active so I think that says something, and I personally think the salivation is from them being fed.. just like how dog drools when foods around.
Only reason I’m giving 3 stars is because I was quite sad with how small the enclosures are for these beautiful creatures, and most were locked in small cells, did make me quite sad walking past them. I asked if they take the tigers to a more bigger area someplace else where we couldn’t see that had more trees and room for them to roam around, but they said no. They have 21 tigers at the facility. Many tigers but small enclosures. Other than that, tigers definitely weren’t chained from what I could see and I didn’t see any “abuse” whilst I was there. I tried my best to find the most ethical tiger place in Bangkok, and after a bit of research tiger world Thailand seemed like the better one. I’m just glad they’re not chained, drugged up where they could barely walk and not being abused like other places. Just giving an...
Read moreStrictly for genuine tiger lovers! A lot of people mistake this for the now closed and infamous 'Tiger temple'. The tigers here seem to be well taken care of and did not look drugged at all (I am no expert but drugged tigers will probably not drink milk or play around). A very safe experience and lots of photos with tigers await you here. Unlike most such places that are glamorized or commercialized, there are no gift shops/souvenirs/tiger shows/forced tips. You pay for what you want and tip only if you feel like it. The only reason I am giving it a 4 star is because it would be even better with some explanation/lecture about the tigers which was sadly missing. There are 30 or so tigers in Tiger World but the area that I was taken to had a total of 7 tigers. The tigers have been bred here and are docile but nevertheless beautiful and majestic. The lady at the entrance speaks very good English for the English speaking tourists and explained all the options available well. The price is kind of steep (I paid 70$ for just under an hour with the medium and big tigers. Do not miss the 'feed the tiger' option) but the staff will take lots of photos/videos of you and the tigers for you to brag to your friends/families later. Do not miss this place if you are in Thailand. It is a 90 minute drive from Bangkok and only 15 minutes by car from the famous Railway market...
Read moreHands down one of the best experiences in Thailand. The owner and employees were great. They even did complimentary services for us and took few streets down so we could sit in Bolt cab to go back to Bangkok. THEY ARE VERY HONEST, you have to make sure you go to the right place because if you go floating market direct they will SCAM you and take you other spots. We were in Railway Market, there were no taxi, Taxi told us 200Bakht to bring us Tiger World but they brought us floating market to sell us tickets and get commission, we insisted on taking as across the street or we are not going to pay, the guy took us Tiger World. He wanted commission from Tiger world but they dont do it, i gave him the 200 and he left disappointed. There are alot of scams, so be careful. Same in Bangkok, around Grand palace they lie in tuk tuk claim Grand Palace is close and they take you to shops and expos supposably and get commission out of you and waste your travel time. Do your research and if somethig sounds too good to be true than it probably is. I would highly suggest you check out Elphant show next door it is worth every penny. I WOULD NOT recommend ladies with neck rings, as that one is kind of scam also at the same elephant spot next door. Great experience...
