Songkhla City Wall — Attraction in Songkhla Province

City wall and City gate City wall and gate were primary construction for town settlement. It was built in 1836 and finished in 1842. It is a massive wall with many bastions. This wall was constructed in rectangular form, 10 large gates, 8 cannon turrets and 7 meters high. It is a pure Chinese style which the main materials were red rocks moved from Singora, the previous town. The small opening at the top of city wall was decorated with dark green ceramic brick from China. At present, most of city wall was demolished for road expansion.
