Chalok Lam Beach — Attraction in Surat Thani Province

This place is extremely dangerous, some resorts and bars are run by people from gangs from Myanmar. They treated us violently and threatened us. The police doesn't come here. The few Thai people here are nice but the Burmese here are mostly criminals that hate foreigners. One incident happened in which a women threatened us and followed us by motorcycle while screaming at us, her husband is a violent and agressive man too that threatens people without reason. The woman works (or is owner and cook) of "North Restaurant on this beach". They are very violent and possibly addicted to drugs, but definitely mentally unstable. Chalok Lam (also Chaloklum) occupies a very natural picturesque location at the northernmost tip of Ko Pha Ngan. The shoreline stretches for some 3 km and the mountains frame the bay in its entirety. A nice beach stretching mainly by Chaloklum, a small fishing village. So there is a lot of food options around. The beach is rather calm - like almost all beaches on Koh Phangan (except for the period when tourists come to the island for the Full Moon Party :-) ).
