The park contains many large trees, intricate and colorful Peranakan gravestones as well as sophisticated, artful mural paintings depicting various aspects of local culture. There is also an impressive covered court there. In the evening there is a great diversity of activities going on inside the park from pétanque to bridge to takraw, jogging, dancing, bodybuilding. There is a long circular track for running as well as a children's playground. However, the surrounding infrastructure made it hard to access the park: the traffic lights at the pedestrian crossing by the park's main entrance never switch color, they always stay red for pedestrians and green for cars. There is also a neat looking sidewalk that merely runs along the length of the park and is suddenly discontinued and covered in waste materials. It is very dangerous to walk along that road as a pedestrian. There is also a fence running along that side of the park with only few entrance points so one has to walk a long way around it when looking to enter or exit the park, which is inconvenient. Inside the park, the public restrooms were not clean at all and there was a strong stench outside the restrooms drifting over to the nearby work out area. The work out area itself has many machines and just a few calisthenic bars. There was one machine that impressed me: a cycling machine with adjustable strength! The remaining machines are not adjustable so have limited usefulness for a strength training, though there are a few good qi gong machines, quite handy for stretching. It would be better if there were more calisthenics bars in the park, in my opinion. An exceptional feature of this park is that there are some dumbbells freely available inside a small room by the work out area. There are only 2 or 3 dumbells there and they are a little rusty but I was very impressed by the concept nontheless, as I had never encountered it elsewhere before. On another note, there seemed to be too many mosquitoes in this park. Lastly, there is a farm on the grounds of the park where they occasionally burn things, (leaves, etc..) so the air...
