Palmiste Park — Attraction in Penal-Debe

Great location for family oriented activities (as it has an on-site playground), get a quick exercise routine in or simply chill out and unwind with nature on the park benches. The playground includes swings, see-saws, sand boxes and merry go round.

If you do get hungry there are a few food stalls alongside the park as well a fresh coconut water vendors - a plus! Local cuisines, doubles, ice cream and gyro just to name a few options available. These are easily accessible because the walkways are paved.

Downfalls:

The walkways are paved but there are no bathroom facilities, which is unfortunate seeing that a playground for kids is present.

The lake and drains can develop a stench at certain times of the year, which are maintained on and off

Palmiste park is a nature lovers paradise, there's also a walking path and trails from which you can observe the true natural beauty of the trees,flora and fauna. This is a peaceful place and relatively safe though I don't recommend going here late at night Lots of food on the lay by area on the main road from doubles, gyros, burgers and bbq in the evening and some roti and doubles in the morning . There is delicious snow cones on the weekend There is also a safe children's Play park Do not go too much off route as you may encounter bees and the crawling insects and creatures that are found in forested areas There are benches to sit on Thumbs up...

Such an amazing place! A wide expanse of lush green hills with varying flora.

The park is well kept and clean. Immersing from the hills are very beautiful big trees that branches stretch out like a dome offering lots of shade. The atmosphere was cool and serene.

When we were there, there were several small-grouped photoshoots happening. We were lucky to witness the photoshoot of a newly wedded couple and their entourage all adorned in authentic Indian garb.

The evening sunset was perfect for a picnic which many individuals, couples and also small families took advantage of.
