Trip to The Tsaritsino Mano

In the south of Moscow you’ll find a beautiful and tranquil estate filled with lush green spaces. Initially built to showcase the grandeur of the Russian Empire, Tsaritsyno offers an idyllic getaway without leaving the city. Tsaritsyno Park offers one of the most impressive examples of Russian garden design from the 18th and 19th centuries. Located in southern Moscow, it is just a short walk from (you guessed it!) Tsaritsyno metro station. Visitors often crowd around an enormous fountain near the park’s entrance, but you’ll find the palace towers a bit farther away among the trees. The estate originally belonged to Dimitrie Cantemir, a Moldavian prince allied with Imperial Russia. He built a church and a wooden palace on the site. His French-style garden was designed according to the baroque architectural styles of that time and included pathways and flowerbeds that were made according to strict geometrical rules.

Entering the park is free and in winter people bring their tubes and sleighs for some fun. There are people ice fishing and also feeding ducks. 3rd sunday of the month, every museum is free! Go to the counters to collect tickets to enter. There is cloak room and bag storage as well as lockers. Herb garden is nice if you like plants and greenery. Architecture is beautiful and overall a pleasant visit. There is a cafe at the basement of the museum. Opera house was displaying sculptures, didnt expect that. Theres small children's discovery here and there but mainly russian. Prepare at least 4 hours to visit all areas and musuems, i spent almost a day there!

Caricyno park was one of the first places we visited. It is truly beautiful, such a pretty architecture with a nice park. Even though it was our of the centre and not a touristic place, there were a lot of people. It might have been the day, so if you go here on workdays it could be better. And we've seen at least 70 brides! It got a little annoying, since they were taking photos everywhere. I wouldn't recommend buying food in here, since the prices very higher - like in every park. (Around 260 rubles for a hot dog) And yeah, don't do picnics on the grass or a security guard will come to you.

A very pleasent place. The green plush courtyard is well maintained and one can take amazing photos here. The number of people at all times will appear to be less as the remaining forest area is huge and there are plenty of places to see hence people scatter around. One can take a katamaran ride at prokart station and enjoy view. A best place for couple. One can find people enjoying to capture the various views through there paintings and photography. There are plenty small kiosks and washrooms available. The river lake have swans. There are 2 metros on eithere side of this amazing place.

Description
Tsaritsyno is a palace museum and park reserve in the south of Moscow. It was founded in 1775 as the summer residence of Empress Catherine II, but the construction remained incomplete. For most of its history, it was a half-abandoned park with picturesque ruins.
