Bahçeşehir Gölet Park — Attraction in Başakşehir

All TOURISTS AND FOREIGNERS AVOID AT ALL COST. Where do I begin to describe this atrocity of a local site. It’s basically a place for drunks to start bar fights. Besides having to deal with drunk imbeciles who don’t know how to treat tourists, you have to deal with everyone from the valet, to the restaurants trying to rip you off. And if they get the hint you are foreign, they give you what’s called the tourist’s menu, a menu designed to rip off foreigners. I would steer clear from this park and all it’s neighboring businesses to be safe. It’s a racket to rip off tourists. Much more to see in Istanbul than Bahçeşehir in general I would steer clear of this town as a whole. I write this review after multiple incidents as well as a pretty close confrontation with the valet department who tried to rip me off, and refused to return my key unless I paid. They realized I was an American and decided to give me the “special treatment” lol....

This chain is established for many years. This is one of their chains near Bahçeşehir. During weekends the parking if full and you need to have good luck to find a parking space. Inside parking area there is a bit of parking issues and people are frustrated to secure their parking lane. There is no valet service and nobody else is assisting with parking. At the entrance of the restaurant I could not find any enterance for disabled persons. Just like many other restaurants in Turkey, also this place is not accepting any of your fury animals ..no dogs etc. The price quality is good but, the taste could have been a bit better compared to other restaurants which are a bit cheaper. Well maintained park. In the beautiful neighbourhood of Bahçeşehir. In the middle of the park there is a pond with ducks and turtles which is the main attraction of the park. A good location for an afternoon relaxed picnic or a walk. Many restaurants are available that vary in quality, price and service. Dont expect excellent high quality food over there but you can find a decent meal there and a good cup of tea or coffee. Car parking is available as well as taxis.
