Billy Beach Cafe Bar — Attraction in Fethiye

Found this place last minute and went for the day as other reviews mentioned peace and quiet. The place definitely lived up to that experience.

We were greeted on arrival by friendly staff and paid 800TL for parking and two loungers. The place never got crazily busy with plenty of loungers available however, if you are in a car, arrive early as parking is limited.

So the location. ..you are directly on the lagoon with lovely soft sand, calm waters and the bathing area only gets to around 1.4m. The fun however was beyond the rope. We went snorkelling and saw 6 turtles!! Other people saw some as well so a fair few around. The lagoon itself only seems to allow pedals and paddle boards so it's really quite safe and I suspect a totally different experience than the main beach.

For the food, it all looked good however I think it is tilted to a UK audience. Having said that, we had great salads.

Areas for improvement I would say, give the shower block a revamp and provide a shower...

Service was terrible, despite Turkey taking theft seriously I had 2 employees as well as a local approach me at my beach chair of whom I suspected could have taken my sunglasses which were on the side table amd where likely taken when I stood to go to the restroom. I asked the manager to please check security footage as I was certain I left my glasses on my side table. The manager never reached out and an employee texted me that their security cameras did not work. To my surprise later that evening I learned of another fellow traveler that had too lost her sun glasses that evening at this location. To top it off i was charged for a drink I did not order and when I told the employee he simply said it was too late since he had already ran my card. Send a Facebook message or phone them and they'll pick you up and drop you home. You can't bring your own food and drink here, but there's no need. Food is very good and reasonably priced. Where it excels is the staff. They are friendly, but also very efficient. It's a pleasure to see such a well organised bar and restaurant, and all too rare. I've been to this beach with the family many times over 5 years. Rent a kayak or pedalo for a fun exploration of the lagoon, and see a few turtles too.
