I saw a review on here about Grand Turk looking "third world" and I hate that. Cruise Ship tourism is the crux of the income on most of the islands on which you stop for shore excursions and Grand Turk is no different. However, the culture there is wonderful and if you don't leave the port, you don't get to experience that.
That being said I was not able to give this locale 5 stars but I would absolutely do this shore excursion again if the things I mention are corrected. Transportation was fun for me because I am 31 years old and I was excited to hop on what appeared to be a recycled safari bus. However, an elderly man in a wheelchair was in my group and the buses are NOT accessible to wheelchairs and the handicap or even strollers for that matter. I honestly feared he would not be able to go because he had to climb a fairly steep length of stairs on the back of the bus to get on. Once at the beach, I had no problem with the chairs or food and drink offerings. If you wanted more you could pay a bit more and get it. The bartender was rad and would add an extra splash of rum to our free rum punch. Your tell the staff how many umbrellas you want and they come set them up. However, while there, two men (one clearly inebriated) were trying to sell conch shells to us. We first politely said no thanks we can't take those on the ship. They then began to push harder and became aggressive and harassing. One leaned in to hold up a conch shell to my ear and then stumbled and fell on me. They came back to our group two more time and I finally had to get nasty with them and say "I don't want to buy them do not come to us anymore, I said no". These is no security there to have told the men to move on and stop harassing the guests. The staff just let them hang out and it was uncomfortable. The only reason this didn't get 5 stars.
Otherwise, it was not crowded, you could leave whenever you were ready and the beach was beautiful. There was a woman who would braid your hair and she seemed fair (and not harassing) as lots of young girls went and saw her for hair braiding. Had actually switch to this shore excursion from another one and...
Read moreWe visited this location as an Excursion on our cruise itinerary with MSC Cruises (Ship - MSC Divina). The "All Inclusive" package was very minimal. Lunch that was served consisted of Rice, Jerk Chicken (Dark Meat Only), Jerk Pork, and a few lackluster other sides. Was not as luxurious as I had expected. The beach chairs were all worn to the point that we were practically laying on the plastic legs. Drinks from the bar were made from locally produced Dark or Clear rum that turned our stomachs a few drinks in.
Also, the ride to and from the establishment through the seemingly third-world neighborhoods was not pleasant. During our return trip, our bus BROKE DOWN a few minutes into our ride and we had to wait to be transferred to another vehicle. Would not recommend to any cruise travelers.
My suggestion would be to visit the Margaritaville right at the cruise terminal. It is VERY NICE with GREAT FOOD and amenities for guests. Had I known this existed, I would not have booked the excursion to Bajari and wasted my money. If and when I return, will be spending my day at...

The facility itself is not large, but was clean and well equipped. Rentals were available for paddleboards, kayaks, snorkeling, etc., and seemed to be reasonably priced. Some cruise line excursion packages (including ours) came with 30 minute rentals for both kayak and paddleboards so definitely take advantage if you can.
The beach is shallow (short distance between the buildings and the edge of the water) but very clean and quite nice. If you plan on going in to the water be sure to bring water shoes of some kind since it is very rocky underfoot. Lounge chairs with umbrellas are available, as well as cabanas a bit further down the beach.
The club does offer a free wifi connection, but it did not appear to be working the day we visited so plan...
