We stayed here at the far end in a beautiful accommodation called Pillory beach club. This is for those looking to be far away from cruise ship crowds, just enjoying island life at slow pace, watching the sunset, splashing in the water (we had quite a bit of waves and it was also rocky underneath). There are friendly dogs and donkeys coming by frequently, and otherwise it's perfect for relaxing and doing nothing (maybe sunbathing). You can take a long beach walk if you keep going further, and you can spot a few interesting birds e.g. ospreys and pelicans.

The water is amazingly clear and beautiful aqua blue. There are a number of buetiful beaches. If you bring a snokle mask you can stop and swim at any of the beaches. The grand turk island is still recovering from the hurricane, it appears to be a very poor island, lots of debris, wild stray dogs and donkeys all over. Margaritaville is right off the pier port, its a nice place to shop, eat. We rented a golf carr for the day for $100. Id recommend a car or jeep, the golf cart was too slow.

A little disappointing. We rented a golf cart and "toured" the island (Grand Turk). There just isn't much to do. We saw the whole thing and spent a little time at a beach in about 3 hours. The beach itself was ok. You can see how beautiful the water is in the picture. Otherwise it was pretty average with no accommodations. If you go to this island it's probably best to just get a beach chair and sit in front of Margaritaville. The pictures below are the main attractions of the island.

A naturally beautiful beach, about 20-25 minutes from the cruise pier. The beach was perfect. Soft white sand and crystal clear water. No seaweed. Nice for young children to play. It costs $9 per person each way in a taxi. The only bar Bohio Dive Resort on the beach has expensive food and drinks. $16 for two small beers. I didn't order food, but it looked about $40 a plate. There are chairs to rent and a few other items as well. There are washrooms. You can get snorkel gear to rent at the dive center. You can pay for a dive or snorkel excursion there or you can just do some snorkeling from the shore. I didn't see a lot in my snorkeling there but there were some areas with good fish and I enjoyed it. But if you look for better snorkelling you need to pay to go out further on a boat. Definitely one of the best beaches on this...

Stopped here with our cruise destination, they took us here with the van taxi transportation direct from the cruise. Only pay 1 way so you can pay 1 way back and not have to wait for the same driver if you prepay(we did but wouldnt in future). I already did my research and wanted to come and see this beach anyways. Thank God I did as it's the most beautiful beach I've ever been to in my life. The water is crystal clear, fine sand that doesn't get murky and beautiful fish just 100 ft out that my son and my self enjoyed seeing while snorkeling. Just gorgeous, 10 bucks a chair and shade we found with the existing trees. It's...

I was in paradise with the white sand, crystal clear blue waters, and beach front bar. I highly recommend the piña colada topped with island rum. Restrooms were close by, and the beach was a car ride from where the cruise ship docked (this is a good thing). Very few people seized the opportunity to rent a vehicle to drive the 5 miles to Pilliry, so it was not crowded at all. Definitely spend the money on a golf cart or van to get to Pillory. You will not regret it. Ask the locals for direction if you get lost. They are very helpful. Pillory was the...
