tl;dr - A Generic Tourist Trap. If you want to just see the falls there are other places just as interesting that don't charge a high amount just to look. If you are going for the activities, bring lots of money and prepare to spend.

Experience: The falls are nice, though you need a driver to get there. The roads are dirt, difficult and have locals barring various sections of it asking for 'donations'. When we arrived we were surprised to find at they wanted us, myself and my driver, 100,000sh ($27) because I was different -guards word's-. That's was just fee to enter. If you want to do anything other than look at the rapids, such as kayaking, rafting or taking a tour then that is an extra cost usually a couple hundred thousand depending on how different you look. Then you have others running, up to you: Dancers and musicians all wanting their won money because you were in the vicinity of their...

It was such a great experience having gone there. Good views especially the speedy falls from the Nile. We were lucky that the day we went there we happened to find a group doing rafting making it a great feeling for us watching them. They have some good art crafts like the animals such a giraffes, rhinos , elephants, zebras we bought around there at relatively good price😊. I would advise you carry something to eat for yourself coz we were told the place is still under construction after selling it to someone else so for now any sorts of food provisions like fish are out of bounds. Also another thing I would recommend you visit on a sunny day the road leading to the falls is so messy...

A Raw, Untamed Beauty Itanda Falls is a hidden gem, a testament to nature's raw power. The thundering cascades and the lush greenery surrounding them create an awe-inspiring spectacle. It's a place where you can truly connect with nature, feeling the mist on your face and the vibrations of the rushing water. The falls are well-organized, with clear pathways and viewing points. However, there seems to be an issue with uncontrolled toll collection by gatekeepers, which can be frustrating. It's a minor blemish on an otherwise perfect experience. If you're seeking an adventure and a chance to witness nature's grandeur, Itanda Falls is a must-visit. Just be prepared for a bit of chaos at...

The falls/rapids are impressive and you can get a comprehensive tour including a boat ride on the White Nike visiting small islands to see more falls and rapids with a friendly and knowledgeable host. Inevitably everything has its price. Entry to the falls has to be negotiated with 'foreigners/muzungu' paying more. Ensure you have a local host to do the haggling. Once inside they also want to upsell you on extras such as a group of young men who will jump into the rapids for your entertainment! We were also offered chance to swim in a less dangerous area! Worth a visit despite the long slow drive down dirt roads to get there.
