Adrift Uganda River Club — Hotel in Kayunga

We were fortunate enough to be the first guests to stay on the property two years ago. There was no way that we would come back to Uganda without staying here again. We thought that it couldn’t get better but we were wrong. This trip was even better than before. |We were greeted with a refreshing cool towel and a fresh fruit drink upon arrival. Checkin was easy and all of our luggage was personally delivered to our rooms. We didn’t have to lift a finger. The staff made sure that all of our needs were met. We spent the afternoon touring the grounds, relaxing in and sitting around the pool. Monkeys played throughout the grounds and the trees giving it a special ambiance. |Although we had a large group (18 people), each need was personally met. Everyone enjoyed their meals and honestly were the best meals that we had eaten during our entire time in Uganda. The appetizers, main courses and desserts were perfectly seasoned and fresh. Meals were brought out in a timely manner. The staff meticulously waited on us. |Breakfast the next morning was over the top in a good way. Fresh fruits, juices and smoothies, pancakes, sausage, eggs and omelet prepared anyway you’d like. We really could not have asked for anything more. ||When I arrived, I was feeling ill and running fever. By that night, it had gotten worse. Their staff personally came and assessed my situation; and after talking to our team, came up with a best plan of action. They suggested and set up for me to go to a medical clinic in town. They went out of their way to make sure that I received the best care while I was there. After being treated and returning, they actually saved and heated up our food so that we would not miss a meal. And we got back relatively late. |Because of the late evening, they allowed us some extra time to check out the following morning. What company does this? Adrift does. ||The most beautiful thing on the property…any companies most valuable asset…the staff. Much of the staff were the same staff as two years previously. Many actually remembered me and our team. What company does this? Adrift does. One email to secure rooms and all activities. All of my team thanked me for such a great time, but I told them that I could not take the credit. It was totally the Adrift staff. After managings, bookings, transportation for 18 people for two weeks, it was a blessing to let someone else do all the hard work for you. We purposely stayed here for our last night so that we would be rested in full for our long flight home. ||This is my third time staying at this property. Our trip would. Review: Adrift River Club – Thrills, Views & Unforgettable Moments!||My girlfriend and I recently visited Adrift River Club, and it was nothing short of exhilarating—especially for her! She took on the ultimate adrenaline challenge: bungee jumping from 53 meters above the River Nile.||🧗‍♀️ 246 Steps of Courage|Before the jump, she had to climb 246 steps up the jump tower, which built both suspense and excitement. The view from the top is breathtaking, with the Nile rushing below, and the feeling of standing that high above it is unforgettable.||🪂 The Bungee Jump|She leaped—and it was an epic, once-in-a-lifetime experience. The team at Adrift was professional, supportive, and experienced. They made sure she was fully secure, briefed, and mentally ready. Watching her jump off that platform into the open air, with the Nile below her, was awe-inspiring—even for me as a spectator.||🌿 The Atmosphere|Adrift River Club has an energetic but relaxed vibe. It’s a great place not just for extreme sports, but also to hang out, enjoy the river, and soak up nature. The setting along the Nile is beautiful, peaceful, and yet buzzing with adventure.||🍴 Food & Service|We grabbed some food and drinks after the jump—it was tasty, fresh, and served with a smile. The service was quick and friendly, adding to the positive experience.||❤️ A Day to Remember|This was a major highlight for us. My girlfriend faced her fear and conquered it spectacularly—and I couldn’t be prouder of her. My family and I recently spent a few days at Adrift River Club and did their white-water rafting experience on the Nile—and I can honestly say it was one of the most exhilarating and enjoyable trips I've ever taken!|The lodge itself is absolutely stunning, perched right on the river with breathtaking views, lush greenery, and a peaceful, laid-back atmosphere. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. My room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed to unwind after a day of adventure.|Now, the rafting—what an incredible experience! The guides were professional, fun, and clearly experienced. Safety was a top priority, but they also made sure the trip was packed with excitement and laughter. We tackled several thrilling rapids and even when things got hairy the staff was there the whole time. Shout out to David and the team for taking care of us.|The breakfast and lunch were fresh and very delicious.||Whether you're an adrenaline junkie or just looking to try something new in a stunning natural setting, I can't recommend Adrift and their rafting experience enough.
