My first time visiting the club was for ladies' night at the swimming pool.
Unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst pool experience I've ever had.
There were several reasons for this.
First, it was very confusing to find parking near the main entrance.
I ended up driving around in circles for 20 minutes before finally finding my way.
The club should consider adding signs to direct drivers to the main entrance parking lot.
Second, the swimming pool itself was relatively small and shallow, even at its deepest point.
Third, the pool was full of kids, especially toddlers swimming in their diapers.
I believe there should be separate nights for ladies and another for families where mothers can swim with their babies.
Toddlers should be restricted to the children's pool next to the main pool.
Additionally, there were no swimming boards or noodles, only life jackets.
The swim-up bar was messy, with leftovers and used cutlery left behind.
Nobody from the club bothered to clean up.
I also witnessed children and girls eating at the bar and dropping pizza crust into the pool, which was quite disgusting.
Kids were enjoying their ice cream in the pool, but it was melting and dripping into the water!
There weren't strict rules about wearing swim caps, so not many people used them.As a result, I had to untangle hairballs with my hands all the time.
The showers and bathrooms were really dirty and messy, with some showers not working and no hot water or shampoo available. The shampoo boxes were empty and broken.
My friend's clothes went missing after she placed them in one of the lockers. It seems like someone stole them.
Clean towels were nowhere to be found. Only dirty towels were left in some lockers, on the bathroom bench, or...
Read moreTook a tour of the shooting sports facility and I was impressed. They cover all of the disciples, except for Class III. They retain the firearms, where their pricing includes rental and ammo packages. Additional ammo is available at a discounted rate. They maintain a full range of calibers, in both revolvers, semi-auto, and break-action/ over-n-under shotguns.
They maintain both 22LR pistols and rifles providing a good starting caliber for novice shooters. And in light load shotguns, they have 28 guage break-actions that a 12 year old will most likely be able to handle.
On the range, which are both indoor and outdoor, I was happy see several ladies, one even in an abiau pulling triggers.
If you need instruction they can provide it as well. They have a full complement of instructors and RSOs for each discipline.
And did I mention Archery? They have a 4 lane indoor range and about 20 outdoor lanes upto 50 meters.
The facilities are first class, one of the best I've ever been in. If you are a shooting sports enthusiast in the GCC, you need to make time to...
Read moreI wakeboard at al forsan regularly. Currently, only 1 of the 3 cables are open and they still demand full price. They slow the fast cable down for beginners, which messes with more experienced riders. The waiting lines are long due to beginners on the fast lake. The price is outrageous and they refuse to offer a season pass. The obstacles are constantly breaking and are outdated. Their fix for broken obstacles is to simply remove them forever. No repairs, no replacement, no new and exciting obstacles....ever. The cable system itself breaks almost every time I'm there. They have no preventative maintenance procedures in place for the beautiful Rixen systems they have. There is a broken lighting system in all cabanas and around the beach area that hasn't worked in years. Weeds grow in the sand area (giant cat box) and cats running everywhere. The only good thing I have to say is that the staff are friendly and understanding. I do not recommend wasting your money. Go to a cable that is managed properly and by individuals who care about the...
