AD - 7 amazing things to do in Abu Dhabi 👇
Throwback to my incredible trip with @visitabudhabi earlier this year. I’d never visited the UAE before this trip and I was honestly blown away by how beautiful Abu Dhabi was. There was so much to see whilst we were there, here’s my highlights:
1. Visit the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
2. Spend the day at Warner Bros World
3. Explore The Louvre (the only outside of Paris)
4. Go kayaking in the mangroves at Jubali Mangrove Park
5. Visit the Wahat Al Karama war memorial
6. Go dune bashing and camel riding in the desert
7. See the palace of the nation - Qasr Al Watan

I have been to this place before corona, it used to be free. This 15aed fee to visit this place isn’t worth it. Anyhow , it’s a very beautiful place to have a good walk and calm your mind. For new visitors to Abu Dhabi, its a nice view of our mangroves and culture. It’s a family oriented place. And there is a new attraction of twinkling lights near the walkways at night , which looks wow.
Jubail Mangrove Park, a hidden gem nestled along the coastline, offers a captivating experience during the golden hour that is truly unparalleled. My recent visit during sunset left me enchanted by the park's natural beauty and tranquil ambiance.
As the sun began its descent, casting a warm glow across the vast expanse of mangroves, the park transformed into a magical haven. The intertwining roots of the mangrove trees created intricate patterns that seemed to dance with the shifting light. The reflection of the sunset on the calm waters added an extra layer of enchantment, turning the park into a picturesque scene straight out of a dream.
Walking along the well-maintained boardwalks, I marveled at the biodiversity thriving within the mangrove ecosystem. The rhythmic sounds of nature, the gentle rustling of leaves, and the occasional bird call created a symphony of serenity that provided a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the colors in the sky intensified, transitioning from warm oranges and pinks to deep purples and blues. The park's strategic seating areas allowed me to pause and absorb the breathtaking panoramic views, making it an ideal spot for contemplation and relaxation.
The park's commitment to conservation and education is evident in the informative signage scattered along the pathways, providing insights into the importance of mangrove ecosystems and the need for their preservation. It's not just a beautiful destination; it's a place that fosters awareness and appreciation for the natural world.
In conclusion, Jubail Mangrove Park at sunset is a sensory feast for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful retreat. Whether you're a photography enthusiast capturing the play of light or someone looking to unwind amidst nature's wonders, this park offers an unforgettable experience that transcends the ordinary.

Mangroves are shrubs or trees that grow in coastal saline water. Mangroves play a very important role in balancing the eco system due to its ability to store carbon and providing essential habitat for thousands of marine and bird species. They also stabilize shorelines, preventing erosion and protecting the land — and the people who live there — from waves and storms.
Abu Dhabi is blessed with a vast mangrove plantation at Jubail island located between Sadiyat and Yas island.
With the onset of winter, it is the right time to visit the mangroves at Jubail island.
There is ample parking area at the entrance.
The access to the mangroves is facilitated by wooden walkway with a railing. The walkway is split into three paths, the first loop being 1km, second one 1.6km and the longest trail is 2km. There are designated viewing points, elevated watch towers, resting areas at regular intervals and a floating platform and a salt collector area.
Maps are posted at various locations to guide you through the walk. Also you will find boards posted giving information about mangroves contribution to the ecosystem, marine life such as fish, crabs and birds such as grey heron, yellow beaked white heron and many other species for nesting.
You could see school of fish, crustaceans and many species of birds during the walk.
Mangrove walk during the winter season would be very pleasant and relaxing especially in the early morning and evenings. It also serves as an infotainment where children and adults as well get to know about how mangroves play a significant role in protecting the eco system due to climate changes.
Mangrove walk at Jubail island is infotaining, entertaining and relaxing and brings you close to nature.
So, get up and go out in the pleasant weather to enjoy the walk and be one with nature.
