Sharjah Desert Park is a good destination that offers a unique blend of educational and recreational activities, making it a must-visit for families and nature enthusiasts alike. The park's entry fee is incredibly reasonable at just 20 AED for adults, while children under 12 enjoy free admission, making it an affordable day out for the whole family. One of the highlights of Sharjah Desert Park is its diverse sections, each offering a different experience. The Wildlife Centre is a standout, providing an up-close look at indigenous wildlife and the natural history of desert environments. The adjoining Botanical Garden is a serene oasis showcasing the region's diverse plant life. These settings not only educate but also immerse visitors in the beauty of the natural world. Food-wise, visitors have the flexibility to bring their own, which I highly recommend for a personalized and cost-effective picnic experience amidst the park's scenic beauty. However, if you prefer to dine in, there are two restaurants and a café on-site. The restaurant located in the Wildlife Centre stands out for its affordability and variety, offering a satisfying dining experience after exploring the exhibits. The park's layout encourages exploration, and each section – from the interactive Children's Farm to the fascinating Natural History Museum – is designed to both educate and entertain. The combination of learning and leisure activities makes Sharjah Desert Park an ideal destination for a family day out, where both kids and adults can gain valuable insights into the region's ecology and wildlife. Overall, Sharjah Desert Park is not just a visit; it's an experience – one that enlightens, delights, and remains long in the memory. With its affordable entry fee, option to bring your own food, and a variety of dining choices, it's an all-encompassing destination that promises a fulfilling day for visitors of all ages.

Sharjah Desert Park is a captivating destination that seamlessly blends education, recreation, and conservation within its sprawling landscape. This unique park, located in the heart of the Emirate of Sharjah, offers visitors an immersive experience into the diverse ecosystems and rich cultural heritage of the Arabian Peninsula. The park features several distinct attractions, including the Arabian Wildlife Center, where one can encounter a wide variety of indigenous animal species in naturalistic habitats. The Botanical Garden is another highlight, showcasing an impressive array of native plants and providing a tranquil setting for leisurely walks. Additionally, the Natural History Museum offers fascinating exhibits that delve into the geology, paleontology, and archaeology of the region, making it a treasure trove of knowledge for curious minds. For families, the Children's Farm provides an interactive and educational environment where kids can learn about and interact with domesticated animals. The park's well-maintained facilities, including shaded picnic areas and well-marked trails, ensure a comfortable and enjoyable visit. Moreover, Sharjah Desert Park's commitment to conservation and education is evident through its various programs and initiatives aimed at raising awareness about the importance of preserving the region's natural heritage. Whether you are a nature enthusiast, a history buff, or simply looking for a serene escape from the city, Sharjah Desert Park offers a memorable and enriching experience for visitors of all ages. With its diverse attractions and dedication to environmental stewardship, it stands as a testament to Sharjah's efforts in promoting sustainable tourism and cultural appreciation.

Sharjah Desert Park includes four attractions: Arabia’s Wildlife Center, Natural History Museum, Islamic Botanical Garden and Children’s Farm. It is an ideal destination to visit with children during the summer, offering a wonderful experience at a reasonable ticket price.

Do note that park timings differ on Fridays and weekends, so it is best to check before visiting. Only cash is accepted at the ticket counter, so make sure to carry enough cash. Tickets must be purchased from the main gate and the same ticket is valid for all four attractions. All attractions can be covered in 3–4 hours and you can drive your car from one attraction to another. Ticket prices are AED 21 for adults, while children under 13 can enter free.

Wildlife Center is the main attraction of the park. This Zoo houses a wide variety of reptiles, fish, birds and animals such as deer, cheetahs, monkeys, camels, etc. All walkways are air-conditioned, make a comfortable and hassle-free experience. There is also a restaurant where you can enjoy views of the animals through large glass windows while dining. We didn’t try the food, due to the attitude of service staff. Apart from that, our visit was a wonderful experience and truly worth it.

Natural History Museum is really informative and can help the students for their studies. There is an open play area near the Museum, giving kids another reason to enjoy the trip. Children’s Farm is not air-conditioned, but it is a small section that can be covered in about 30 minutes.

Highly recommended as a must visit...
