Green Belt Ladies Park — Attraction in Al Riqqa

As quite noticeable from the name, Green belt park or Ladies park is only for ladies. Boys around 7 years old or younger are allowed to be inside, on Sunday and Monday in the morning is the maintenance day, only at that time men who are working in the park, are allowed to be inside. This park is huge with more then 200 trees. Beautiful birds, playgrounds and free exercise equipment along with the information on how will they help to loose weight and the affected body parts. The other day, I wanted to take my family out for a game of tennis. But when we got to the gate, the lady told us we weren’t allowed in because it wasn’t an activity allowed in the park. That was really disappointing!! The park should be open and inviting to ladies so that families can spend quality time together outdoors.

The park is very dark at night, making it difficult for ladies to feel safe. I believe that installing lights at the park will help make the park a safer place...
