I am sorry i forgot to shoot photos inside i was in hurry. The library overall is huge and you could find your desired book either in Arabic or English. It's Organised with supervision. If you need to borrow a book or books you have to have a membership, You have to pay 160 AED for the Membership and it is retrieval once you cancel your MS (membership). Your allowed days for borrowing books outside is 15 days. You must return it or they will charge you 0.5 AED (50 Fils) per day Or Send them an E-mail to renewal the period again. Your maximum borrow books for every 15 days are 7 books only so if you took 1 means 6 left etc... any damage for the book from all aspects you have to buy new one from your pocket or they will charge you 3x (Three times) the book price. To be a membership you need to bring Emirates ID copy OR Visa copy (a must) Passport Copy (a must) 1 Photo (passport photo preferred) You gonna sign a paper of book usage Condition, Commitments and Penalties. First, the facilities and building as a whole are quite outdated and could use some renovation. Second, silence within the premises is very hit-or-miss: noise really starts to pick up as traffic gets high in the evenings, with little oversight from staff. Dedicated closed rooms which could be booked if you need absolute silence would be a good addition. Third and finally, if you’re looking for recent, specific, classic, English books, or any combination of those attributes, you might not be satisfied by what you find- most of the library’s collection is in Arabic, and outdated. If you’re looking for books in any other foreign language, or on any controversial topics, look elsewhere (abroad). Sharjah and the UAE are in dire need of public libraries.
