Hatta Mountain Bike Trail Centre — Attraction in Dubai

A fantastic place to mountain bike however many of the trails are in desperate need of maintenance. The network of trails is extensive, varied, and in a great setting. I consider myself a fairly advanced rider and there were trails that challenged me which was good. Although many trails are in great condition, many I encountered need some attention, the issues include: deep gullys from rainfall, large rocks in the middle of trails, some trails completely inaccessible due to landslides, thorn bushes on the trail cutting you as pass by them, a small number of signage issues. It wouldn't take much to solve these issues and hopefully they will do it soon but it was disappointing that a large section of black and red trails were completely inaccessible. This is an excellent place for an outing. Lots of outdoor activities such as mountain biking (lots of trails to choose from), water sports, archery, axes, much more. Beautiful camping site with BBQ grills, washrooms, etc. What I liked was the cycle washing bay. After the mountain cycling, wash the cycle and load to the car, how cool is it? If you don't have a cycle, no need to worry as they are renting the mountain bikes, a range to choose from. An interesting place with potentially an awesome MTB trail network with a theme park super imposed on it. The majority of the trails require some significant maintenance and all trails would benefit from vegetation being cut back. The management do not understand the ethos of MTB; such as the acceptance of risk and that riding at night with good lights during the Dubai summer is safer than the heat of the day. The theme park visitors wander on the MTB trails without an understanding of the likelihood of being hit by a bike.
