Excellent place to get a first hand experience on the native wild animal species of the UAE. There may be bigger zoos at other places but a conservatory focused on the local species, showcasing animals in their natural habitat is an altogether different experience. The place is a treasure chest of knowledge about all those animals. t's a must go place for kids and adults. The ticket is only AED 15 and the kids go for free. People who are coming from other emirates can club the visit to this place along with the Kalba bird of prey centre nearby. It is better to visit bird of prey centre and watch the bird show in winter but Hefaiyah conservatory is air conditioned and one can watch the animals staying indoors itself. There is a free caddie car ride also inside the premises. The species showcased includes Arabian leopards, hyenas, foxes, wild cats, mongoose, snakes, fishes, frogs , Caracals, gazelles, hedgehogs, owls etc. There is spacious cafeteria attached to the conservatory and one can have tea, coffee, snacks etc. there watching the deers and gazelles!
