Kalba Bird of Prey Center — Attraction in Kalba

Today we visited the bird center. The tickets cost 15.75 AED for adults which is appropriate. Unfortunately you can neither find the entrance fee nor the times for the flight presentation on the website. When we arrived at 2.30pm we saw on the sign that the flight presentation today would be at 4pm. We visited the Center and decided to come back at 4pm for the flight presentation after having a coffee close to the Center. When we informed the woman at the ticket office that we want to come back for the show at 4pm, she told us that we have to pay again for the entrance. Since I couldn’t believe it, I ask again and she confirmed that we have to pay again the entrance fee for two people. I have never experienced something like this in the whole UAE. We travelled a lot here. This behavior is very disappointing. I like to mention that we were the only guests in the whole center at that time. We would not come back and can not recommend to visit...

I had rated this as 2 stars due to ticketing clueless staff. The center is very nice and I do recommend to visit it as it’s nice a new and clean. The main issue was at ticketing as they don’t under their own rules about center entering procedure dispute that the rule is written in Arabic and in English and it’s very clear. The rule is, enter is permitted to: Full vaccinated are allowed to enter. Unvaccinated to have a valid PCR of 7 days.

So rule is very clear, but still they will mix between the vaccinated ppl and unvaccinated ppl, we had our 4 does vaccination and have a PCR “which is not required in this case” done in 10 days, and adding to that we had our “Al Hoson” Green pass active too. But still they argue about letting us in. I had to stand for our right and at the end they allowed us to enter but it’s not good to have a front line staff who doesn’t understand well the rules. KALBA is a place in UAE located with mountains on one side and sea on the other. KALBA BIRD OF PREY is a small BIRD Zoo where you can see different types of Eagle's, Vultures, Owls. You can see how the birds are trained and they have BIRD Shows where this beautiful Scavengers show the way they catch there pray. The birds fly as low above your head and reach there food given by there trainers. The Ticket Rates are also very less. About 20 AED which can be used for 3 months. You can visit the place at any time using the same tickets for 3 months. This place also have some Goats , Bull, Camels too. There is also a Fort above a small hill inside the BIRD Zoo.
