Read moreIt was a good experience going there. We reached around 7 pm, so no day light. But fortunately it was full moon.. the scene was mesmerizing!
I've seen ppl go all the way to Khorfakkan to enjoy the sea, the weather, the park, the swings .. here you got all plus + you can do BBQ, you can do horse riding, you have a fun land for children. Ppl who are into these things can surely come here instead going al the way to Khorfakkan and save themselves time, fuel etc.
Another thing which I liked is about the beach it self.. Usually when you walk to the beach its all sandy and stuff.. but this one is hard sand..only when you come real close if soft and sandy...your kids can even cycle close to the beach ...u can walk not sink in sand .. I personally don't like a big sandy approach ...
However ppl who want to see Shark Island, want to go on a motor boat, do jet skiing, do paragliding etc. Kalba Corniche is not the place for you. There are no gates for entrance, its a green line along the sea coast. Lots of space to sit and also parking.
The not so good things about this place is the bathrooms ... very untidy, bathroom for the women and men are a kilometer away.. seperate buildings apart from each other. A walk of around a kilometer or half in between.. very hard for families ...
Place is under maintenance or expansion...so you will see undeveloped points here...
