Mangrove Bridge, Kalba – A Perfect Blend of Conservation and Tourism
The Mangrove Bridge in Kalba is a hidden gem that every nature lover and eco-tourism enthusiast must visit. With a small entry fee, visitors are provided with a pick-and-drop service, making it a hassle-free experience. The well-maintained wooden bridge takes you through the lush mangrove forest, offering breathtaking views and a chance to see diverse wildlife, including rare birds and marine creatures.
What makes this place truly remarkable is how it has been transformed into a major tourist attraction while preserving its natural ecosystem. The efforts taken to protect and sustain the mangroves serve as a model for eco-tourism development.
Kerala’s tourism authorities should take inspiration from this project, as the state is rich in backwaters and wetlands that can be developed in a similar sustainable manner. And then the bridge takes you to bird watching site through the mangroves. While there, you can see beautiful sunset in between the mountains. We and kids enjoyed visiting the place. Fish aquariums are very beautiful and educational too. Staff is...
