Family-Friendly Hiking Spot: Suitable for Families: A perfect trail for families, even with children aged 4 to 15. Duration: A leisurely 3-hour uphill hike covering approximately 3 kilometers. Difficulty: Children generally handle the trail effortlessly, but adults with minimal physical activity may find it moderately tiring. Safety Tips for Families: Supervise Small Children: Keep a close eye on younger kids to prevent falls or slips near cliffs. Proper Footwear: Ensure everyone wears sturdy shoes with good grip to minimize the risk of slipping. Highlights of the Trail: At the summit, relish the breathtaking panorama, featuring Khorfakkan town on one side and the vast Sea on the other. Capture unforgettable moments with selfies at the post at the peak – a well-earned symbol of conquering the summit! 🏔📸 Preparation Checklist: Pack Light: Carry only essentials like water, energy-boosting snacks, and fruits. Avoid heavy luggage, as it can make the hike more challenging. Best Time to Hike: Cooler Months: October to March offer ideal hiking conditions with comfortable weather. Avoid Summers: The heat during summer months can make the trek arduous and...

Must be one of the best view points in UAE. Overlooking the beautiful coastal city of Khorfakkan, in the emirate of Sharjah,Shark Island , Pirates Cove and Al Suhub Rest House, this this trekk is one of the best in the region, suitable for outdoor lovers of various age groups and fitness levels, therefore, a very popular route amongst locals as a quick weekend getaway. It al starts at Al Rabi Tower, a historical monument built in 1915 as part of a defense network for Khorfakkan and its surroundings. I recommend you start the hike early in the morning and catch the sunrise from atop. It takes you around 1 hour to get to the place where you can watch the perfect sunrise, after if you want to continue until the next point it will take you another 45 min to reach the next summit. There are plenty of parking spots and the trail is well marked, it's easy to find your way up even before sunrise with a small flashlight. Bring plenty of water and food with you and...

Super trail. Beautifully paved. Cannot get lost. Relatively challenging due to the constant climb but its on steps well carved into the stone.

Done the climb twice in the past two weeks (late Feb and early March) , one at sunrise and one at sunset. Definitely go for the former as you will be will shaded and it’s far easier to climb during a cold breeze. In the evening while the evening light is beautiful as the sunsets, it’s on your back on the way up.

There is a new path the entire way down from between the two peaks which makes decent less crowded but be careful of the lack of grip on the way down as it is dusty earth track so not much for your trainers / boots to hold on to.

This is in the Sharjah Emirate, don’t park on the hill on the way up as you will get a ticket. Instead park at the bottom of the slope and walk up the hardest and steepest part of the climb which is the...

It’s a mild to moderate difficulty hike. Very picturesque. The entire city is seen in the way. Be sure you reach around 6:00 am in winters so that around sunrise you are on the top for the beautiful view. The first peak is reachable in 45 min. Then you get down from it where there is plenty of sitting space to enjoy sunrise with a cup of tea/coffee or snack (which you get along). Then you head to more steep summit which takes around 45 min. While returning take the middle path which takes to the resting area which is half way to the first peak. Avoid the one on extreme left as is a bit slippery with no great view and takes longer than the middle one. Wash rooms are only at the base. A small restaurant is also at the base. There are no restrooms or water refills through your the trail. Plenty of rest areas and garbage disposal bins. Enjoy your trail!
