The park is full of lush green grass lawns, palms, birdsong and is surrounded by the beautiful peeks of Jebel Hafeet.
There is ample free parking along the many small winding roads throughout the park, you can pick any shady spot under a palm and setup your picnic.
We went in April, the park opened at 4 pm and the entry was free. We didn’t find it too hot, in fact the weather was PERFECT - breezy and cool. Even after the sun went down, we stayed comfortably until 9 pm. I guess due to the time of year the park was almost empty, it felt like we had that paradise all to ourselves ❤️
Public toilets are available (average), they also have swimming baths (male / female) and natural hot springs which we didn’t encounter.
A highlight for us is how quiet it is, all you can hear are the birds.
There are food outlets there but I recommend packing your favourite picnic selections and head down with a blanket and a couple of chairs to watch the sunset.
