Jebel Jais Hiking Trails - Upper Segment — Attraction in Ras al-Khaimah

Search for "Upper Jebel Jais Trail maps" and one of the first results should be a PDF map. There are maps and markers provided on wooden signage along the trail as well.

This is one of the few cleared trails in RAK. From the nicely carved footpath you will get excellent views of Saqr Port and the ocean along ridges of the mountain.

This is a great area to work out. You could even do some light trail jogging here. Don't go too fast though, the rocks along the trail are brutally unforgiving.

There are a bunch of little food stands near the parking lot, so you can recharge after your adventure.

The only negative I can think of is that the trail ends in kind of an odd spot below the zip line.

This area is best explored in winter.

Bring water, sunscreen, protective clothing, and a great attitude...

A trek to an excellent view point, the topmost of that place. The astounding view from the trail is extraordinary. One should properly equip for the climb. It's really a great view for the effort taken. Before the climb there are many viewing binoculars at different viewing places. The views are very very interesting and beautiful. A different world. One side you can see the valleys and the sea, and in the other side you can view the beautiful mountain ranges.

Down near the car park also there are many viewing points. Not a wheelchair Accessible place. There are separate restrooms 🚻, points to charge your cars, inside the parking area. There is also play area for children. Resting benches are available. A beautiful place...

It was a good experience,as our first trip to Jebel jais as living in UAE for more than forty years,but now my son on driving seat,it was great experience seeing the twist and turn on the mountain,but felt quite comfortable with the safety measures on the road,but unfortunately we were quite disappointed that there were no much entertainment for children and the only one tea shop closes down at eight.Iam not aware of the rules and regulations,regarding safety measures so I can not complain about timing or regarding children amusement facilities.But as my son pointed out that the places are full of barbecue points for night stay around,so we are looking forward for a next trip.And than my review will be...
