Real shame this place has lost its way. We understand that the former operators were not allowed to expand to make things commercially viable so the council have taken over. Seems they have let the place fall apart since summer 2024. The pump track is great. Sad that locals kids every night leave rubbish next to the bin rather than in it. The downhill gravity trails are now super loose with big gravel littering the trails and berms. No uplift service so the 1.2km pedal uphill is pretty unachievable for small kids and even our 10yr old wasn’t keen on more than once. The surface has become really tricky to ride on for smaller bikes. Suspect this could have become a family version of Bike Park Wales bringing in huge tourism for Aberdare but short sightedness from the council has kiboshed this.

The trails and pump tracks are excellent for confidence building and practicing technique. If you gp fast enough they get quite interesting or you can back off a bit and enjoy the flow. I visited in half term with my three teenaged sons and we had a great time. £70 for 4of us for an uplift session. Dai and Lucy were very friendly, accommodating and extremely helpful. We felt very welcomed and highly recommend this place for anyone new to or getting bike into bike park riding. My boys are now looking forward to some red trails after a break from mtb. Dare valley has built their confidence.

Just brilliant intro into bikepark mtb riding. Uplift running everyday. Call the number on the van in the pic to confirm. They've got website issues atm August 25 so best call. Super friendly helpful uplift driver. Trails very rideable for confident beginners. Pump track and cafe there too. Ace fun. Cheers

Fantastic flowy introduction to downhill mountain biking - great for kids but with enough features to keep more experienced bikers entertained. Rideable by pretty much anyone, but unless you're very fit I would recommend paying for the uplift service. There's basically one trail with a few optional routes at various points, but some great little skills areas on the way down which you can divert to and practice berms and jumps - everything is roll-able. I took three kids 11-13 and the youngest was really inexperienced but was able to cope fine and really enjoyed herself. There is a decent coffee outlet at the centre at the bottom of the hill and a nice little pump track behind it too. All the staff were super helpful....

Awesome set up, great staff, Will the guy that runs the place super helpful

Nice blue flow trails ability to get some air of looking for it but everything is completely rollable also

Uplift is frequent and the driver is a bit of a legend!

Only 1 trail at the moment with a few different skill areas coming off it, for a brand new park the guys have done really well

Could definitely benefit from another trail or 2 which I’m sure they are looking into but they are brand new

And could definitely be if it from a bike wash / bike friendly jet washer or something if that sort

Shops a little expensive, £1.10 for a can :S

The staff and overall experience every keeps it at a 5* for me! 100%...
