I went there after having first had a lovely, engaging and warm chat with one of the workers there; such a lovely woman whom invited me to attend. Date Stamp of conversation = 8/5/24. I attended on the 24/5/24, whereby I ordered a Quarter Pounder with cheese aka A cheese burger. with fries and a mini-side salad and a can of pepsi max. The price was wonderfully cheap, the food was cooked superbly; the meat was thoroughly cooked throughout and the service was impeccable. I strongly recommend this establishment as, even though I am lifelong teetotal, alcohol is still served there in the day and in the form of beer battered batter; sadly, I did on this occasion not ask if they did a teetotal batter?
This is a great place for disabled customers as there is a very slight ramp with easy gate access, there is also a slide and swing for the younger visitor and there is also opportunity for a mere 50p to buy a bag of duck/swan food, so as to feed the birds further up on the top lake.
There are also fresh cakes available for sale as a side order or as an accompaniment to a quick coffee/tea. The chilled soft drinks are of a good variety and the condiments are of equal variety.
I noticed that there was a Walls ice-cream fridge and also many varieties of Unilever however, I will not however, ever buy any of their (unilever) products.
Outside there is more than ample car parking space on a beautifully smoothly laid grey tarmac surface.
There is also a first floor for the more discerning of adults that may want some additional privacy!
The internal of the building is quite large, very well lit, warm and homely, that can provide (not counted) roughly fifty covers (seats) so, there are options for a small party or even a business convention/function!!
There is also the option for a takeaway menu, so the Cwtch Caffi, really is a one stop shop!
Both viewing and eating there is an...
Read moreBeen here a few times and had really good experiences, however came here this morning for some breakfast, well I don’t know where to start! First of all My partner went up to order our food to then be spoken over by the staff member taking her order who more or less did not listen to what we wanted! Food arrived and was taken to the table behind us which my partner raised and asked if it was ours and it was so the lady brought it to us and what she brought proved that the lady taking the order did not listen to what we actually wanted! And was told “no you didn’t order that, you were not charged for it so if you want it you have to go up and pay” so we just left it and didn’t want to cause a fuss over the staff not listening to us from the beginning! We ordered our 1yr old a waffle with berries when it arrived it looked really nice but my baby could not eat it, it was rock solid as if it had just been thrown in the oven for god knows how long, so did not have anything to eat! The waitress asked if we wanted anything else and asked for some ketchup to which she pointed us to where the condiments were when we replied “there’s no ketchup there just bbq sauce?” She then replied, go up to the counter they will find you some? I found our experience in this place dreadful this morning, previously the staff have been lovely and we had a good time but clearly they are all having a bad day today and we will not be returning for food again probably not even for a nice coffee!! Very unhelpful staff and rude! I’ve worked in hospitality for the last 13yrs and I would never ever treat my customers with this much...
Read moreWe had booked to stay at the camp site at Dare Country park. On arrival everywhere was locked up despite arriving 45 mins before the last check in time. At a loss as what to do we came across the staff at Cafe Cwtch cleaning up at the end of their day. They kindly opened their locked door and invited us in whilst they tried to assist us. They eventually got hold of someone and obtained the codes to allow us access to the camp site and to the shower/toilet block. Caroline (I believe the boss) also called in to the campsite on her way home to check we were all sorted and happy (that was such a lovely thing to do). We returned the next morning to thank them for their help and to try one of their cooked breakfasts - we were not disappointed - the portions were large and the taste was delicious and the service excellent - super welcoming and friendly. They took the time to talk to us and ensure we had everything we needed including lots of things to do in the area. We spent a lot of time in the cafe - be it for food or just a cup of tea. All he staff here are amazing - sadly I can only recall Caroline, Tom and Gjylie.
Thank you all at Cafe Cwtch for making our first campervan trip a huge success full of...
