Persley Walled Garden — Attraction in Aberdeen City

There is a path that runs behind the Walled Garden from Bridge of Don Danestone up to Ellon Bridge.

A walk along the river gives you the opportunity to admire the flora and fauna of the place, ducks, swans, cormorants and other birds, and you can observe here and there a couple of fly/rod fishermen that enjoy...

It is a beautiful memorial garden that I personally love visiting often! It is beautifully designed and kept to high standards. I find it secluding and relaxing. The only sad thing is some people really don't deserve it and disrespect it. I was always a big believer that only well-behaved dogs should be allowed off the leash in public gardens. Some pet owners can be so ignorant letting their dogs run free, dog holes and defecate on the flower plots. I see it happen too often and it is upsetting (I am a dog owner myself and most certain not support this kind...

This a very small walled garden. There are no facilities here, but I only say that for information, it in no way detracts from the experience of visiting here. Its a lovely, well maintained small garden that you can walk around in 5 mins or sit in the sun and spend a couple of hours here. The variety of Acers' is particularly worth the visit.

We parked up and visited here before heading along the Woodside River walk... Also highly recommend!
