The Shepherd's Steps at The Giants Causeway is an exhilarating climb. With 4 children in tow my family and I made our way up in excess of 160 steps to the top where the views are worth every exhausting step! To think that shepherds in the past had to carry individual sheep up these steps is just incredible. Seriously fit looking young men and women who were behind us all had to stop to catch a breath at the top and it took me and my husband about 5 minutes before we were ready to walk along the cliff top!

It really gives you a great sense of achievement to reach the top but be prepared for the Irish/British weather. Whilst the sun was shining when we started our hike, by the time we reached the top it was pouring with rain and to our horror there was thunder and lightening! We got the fright of our lives being on top of a cliff with our umbrellas up!! Umbrellas hastily put down, we raced off to find shelter and only now can...

Wonderful experience, the wind was fierce but the sun was shining. The guided tour was great however the ear piece was a little hit and miss if the guide got too far ahead. There's an option to take an electric bus down the hill to the stones and also back up again. This is a small charge but, I imagine totally worth it. My plan was to walk down and get the bus back up however, there were lots of older people waiting for the bus and rather than take a seat up I decided to push my very unfit self, and walked all the way back up. There are plenty of benches to rest if needed. Lovely little gift shop, could have spent a fortune. Had a lovely few hours and will...

The Giant's Causeway is a most go place for anyone. Even if you are from here go as it's a great day out and for anyone not from here or never been there just go. You will love it. Walk along the top of the cliff 1st then down to the Causeway. As a lot of steps to go up if you come from the Causeway up the cliff. Money saving tip, if you go by car and there is more than one in the car. One pays in so you can get one of the electronic voice guides, then everyone else just walk round the side. They can't stop you the only thing about not paying in is you can't get into the...

Fantastic veiws on a short but well laid path from the Giants causeway... Colour coded paths take you on a short journey though this amazing coast line with of course the fantastic hexagonal stone columns. The paths are well maintained, but you may need to use some judgement if you have wheels for any reason... Still I don't think it will exclude for some on that, but the steeper parts (steps) may not be suitable.
