Marbury Country Park is an absolute gem of a park. It's clear that the staff take great pride in maintaining the grounds, as the grass is cut short and the park is immaculate. Whether you're visiting for a picnic, a dog walk, or just a leisurely stroll, you'll find plenty of space to enjoy.
One of the best things about Marbury Country Park is the dog-friendly atmosphere. The play areas for dogs are plentiful, and it's clear that visitors are respectful and responsible, as there's no sign of dog fouling anywhere in the park. As a dog lover, this was a huge plus for me.
The park also has ample paid parking available, and there are food and drink options on site, including hot beverages and ice cream for the little ones. But the real star of the show at Marbury Country Park is the view. The lake is stunning, and there are plenty of areas to sit and take it all in.
If you're feeling more adventurous, the local area offers a range of walks of varying levels of difficulty and length. Whether you're looking for a leisurely stroll or a more challenging hike, there's something for everyone.
Overall, I highly recommend Marbury Country Park to anyone looking for a beautiful, well-maintained park with plenty of space and stunning views. The dog-friendly atmosphere and food and drink options only add to the appeal. I'll...
Read moreWe go to MARBURY about three times a week. Parking is £1.50 for 3 hours or £2.50 for 8 hours and car park closes at 8pm. Now we do dog agility here for fun and we often go down into the woods and I’m on an electric wheelchair and it is a slope and you have to be confident steering as you could quite easily end up in the mere bit but you can go round the opposite way and avoid this and come back through the woods and paths. There is hogweed this time of the year and green blue algae in the meet so no paddling for humans or dogs. There are streams further on. There is a lot of picnic tables to use and bbq places and we stayed over camping with the festival and went to the lido swimming which they have non member hours as well. Love this park. There is a ranger but hardly ever see him in his office and don’t think they are there at the weekend. This place could be so much better with a cafe and more interactive maps that are around the park talking about fruit plants and spices if animals and the history and a map of the old site so you could see...
Read moreThis is a lovely place for the family to enjoy! It's a fairly big area, with excellent pathways for easy access, for those that are not light of foot. The woods also have a good path system and allows for the more adventures to explore. We found it to be a lovely place for cycling, traffic free, excellent for anyone who belongs to the the WOBBLY team.
On the negative side, I just feel that the place has more potential (without going to commercialised).
Other things to do, there is a outdoor swimming pool, picnics/BBQ (bring your own), orienteering (map from rangers office), on one of the days we visited there was Cycling, access for all, where they had 3 & 4 wheeled bikes available for the not so well balanced (VERRY WOBBLY) folk to use.
I would recommend a visit if you want family time or peace and quiet.
Foot note; no I don't work for the owners.
Go on...
