We have visited this very nice restaurant and couple of times and we have been fortunate with the weather so we have been able to eat in the little enclosed courtyard with views over the marina . The owner who I think is called Jim is the most decent and genuine guy you could ever meet and along with his wife they really do pull the stops out for you ! The restaurant looks fabulous and all areas are spotless . We had lunch today I had a cheese Omelette which comes with a nice salad and chips I opted for extra mushroom and the taste and presentation was epic! Elaine had an egg mayonnaise baguette with salad and chips and again a great meal . We asked if we could leave the car and we had a walk down the canal and after an hour we returned for coffee and a cream scone yummy😜Please note ALL food ordered is freshly cooked so non of this frozen pub rubbish . I would highly recommend .

Looks a bit unassuming from the outside, like it isn't a restaurant but don't be put off! The interior is very restaurant style (diamond cut glasses, tables set with linen table cloths) and the first thing you notice is the view! The staff were so welcoming and kind and the food was home cooked, fresh and delicious 😋. I had already started tucking into my stroganoff before remembering to take the picture so it did come out looking better that that 🤣. Only a few benches outside but we got one easily so who cares, we will definitely be back thank you 😊

Popped in here by chance for a Sunday meal without a reservation and received a warm welcome. The Sunday lunch was tasty and plentiful, with a good selection of vegetables. We then opted for a desert, wow they were delicious. Service, was warm, polite and courteous. Overall a great meal at a reasonable price.

Frozen in time, like restaurants were 20 years ago, vinyl covered chairs and heavy cheap looking glassware. Sadly the chicken livers on brioche were braised livers in a brown sauce soaking a plain brioche. The chicken and mushroom pie was nice but looked bought in, apologies if it wasn't, the supplied 'gravy' tasted greasy and was inedible. Of the veg served the potatoes and green beans were under cooked, chips very nice. The wine was good and well priced.

Unsurprisingly there were only two other diners on our visit which was admittedly early for some. Such a shame, it's a nice spot overlooking the marina but badly needs a root and...
