What a great site . Perfect, right from booking to leaving . We've just returned from a 2 night campervan/motorhome stop over on this site and will definitely return . Whole experience was great from start to finish . The web site was easy to use and book through . Lots of pre stay information, not only about the site but also surrounding area . Brilliant for a longer stay . Arrived and we're greeted by one of the team who then took us to our pitch . He then gave us a choice of others if we preferred them . A little later another guy came down to do the booking actually at the pitch (not at reception ) . Nothing seemed to be too much trouble . Facilities were lovely . Even under floor heating in the showers . A little shop on site for essentials which also does fresh baked bread in the morning (a must) and some takeaway food and drink in the evening on the patio with far reaching views out to sea. All pitches were large and well spaced out . The site is divided into small fields each separated by mature tall hedges which gives the site an intimate feel . The family that own and run the site are environmentally aware and their is a large woodland on site planted by them which we didn't get chance to walk around which we will next time round . A short ten minute walk from the site takes you to a lovely beach which was great . This beach is also on the coastal path (obviously). The only tiny niggle for us was poor mobile reception, which I think is a price you sometimes pay for being in a nice secluded little spot . And the current wifi coverage was a bit iffy which may have been down to the location of our pitch . They are currently putting in an upgraded service and I'm sure on our next visit this will be improved
Highly recommended this site . Five out of...
Read moreSpent the first weekend of the season at Tyddyn Isaf and we couldn't of picked a better site to stay at...simply incredible!||We arrived early Saturday, the single track road to the campsite wasn't a problem with the motorhome as it has a number of passing places.||We buzzed in at the barrier and was promptly greeted by Hayley who let us in and asked us to wait while someone came to show us to our pitch for the night and within a couple of minutes we were on our way to our pitch....this is where you notice the amazing views of the beach, which is only a short walk away from the site.||Once we were shown to our pitch for the night we were presented with a map of the site and our fobs to allow us access in and out of the site as well as operate the shower.||Once we had hooked up the motorhome to the electric we made our way up to the cafe / shop area for a well earned beer and piece of cake...both went down a treat 😋||We ordered some fresh bread for the morning (you can order this upto 8pm the night before and collect after 9am in the morning). The following morning we went for a walk to the beach for sunrise, which I have to say was amazing, and on the way back we picked up the fresh bread we had ordered the day before, it was still warm!||The toilet and shower blocks are soo clean, everywhere just looks brand new. I chuckled to myself when I saw this site had won 'Platinum Loo of the Year' award but, honestly, I can see why! I have never seen a campsite with such pristine facilities!||I know this is a lengthy review but I hope it helps you decide that you will be blown away by this site and its location. I have already booked to go back at the end of the month and...
Read moreThe site is immaculately maintained. It is very large, with a mix of lodges, static caravans, and then pitches in (separate) fields for caravans, motorhomes, and tents.|The entire site is built into the hillside that slopes down to the beach and sea. Those with mobility issues may struggle. There is a very large playground and field (again sloping) for children.|The reception area also houses a small shop for all your essentials; plus a coffee shop (also serving beer on tap and in bottles) with seating both inside and out on a patio with views to the sea. Take away food can be ordered most evenings from here.|The site promotes its green credentials with very good information boards dotted around which give educational outlines on how the sewage system works/how the solar farm operates/what local flora and fauna exists etc.|The site is dog friendly, although they have to be kept on leads, apart from a wooded area which is quite good fun - and of course, the dog friendly sandy beach.|All in all an excellent and well run site. I would have liked to give 4.5 stars ( but that isn’t an option) with just a small deduction for the shower/toilet areas. These were modern and clean, but quite often over subscribed at the...
