If you like small castles (e.g. Cumbrian pele towers), this is a little gem nestling in the countryside near Arnside. It was built in the late 14th century and there is still plenty to see (despite the ravages of time). The tower is very accessible despite being on private property. You can park in the large layby on the road close to Arnside Tower Farm.
