Cleveland Lakes Nature Reserve — Attraction in Ashton Keynes

Ok place to walk the dog. Can't see much of the lakes,as the path takes you between two lines of trees. Not that much sign of wildlife probably as the lakes have a stoney base so no water plants grow there. It's all a bit barren. Waste of public money to be honest. The paths have areas where they are muddy as horses have been allowed to walk here with no pressure on the riders to take responsibility for the damage their animals have caused. Dog owners have to clean up their mess of course. I feel this whole area couldve been put to better use with a little...

A bit disappointing as the main path was closed. Very over grown banks and no benches to sit on . Not enough dog dirt bins either for people to dispose of the waste so people.are leaving it hung in trees in the bags. Had to pay for parking which was a waste of money as we didn't stay long. I understand it's a nature reserve but even the hide was untidy and all overgrown. This clearly isn't used anymore but if this was tidied up I'm sure more people...

Only stopped by the one viewing spot briefly, but I got to see a Marsh Harrier and a bunch of Herons. Really nice little spot on a sunny day, and after talking to one of the more experienced bird enthusiasts there, they definitely sung it's praises as having lots to see. Give it a stop by!
