We went here fir the first time on Sunday Sep 4th. We came by car and used google maps to get there. This took us to what we later learnt was the mountain entrance. There is a large carpark there and at 15.45 there were about 8 or 10 cars there. We walked down the forest statue trail and when we got down to the main entrance we learnt by chance that the mountain entrance would close at 17.00. The staff member said she’d let them know and that they wouldn’t lock the carpark barriers whilst there were still cars inside in any event. We did our best to get back up the hill as quickly as we could but it was 17.05 when we got there and four cars had been locked into the carpark. We pressed the button and left two voice messages but no response. I had a good look around but there was definitely no signage about carpark closing times. We had to drive up over a kerb and some rubble to get past the barrier. This morning I rang to give feedback and while the woman I spoke to was pleasant I found her attitude defensive. She said the information was in the website. But not everyone has a smart phone or a mobile with sufficient charge and it is in no way obvious on the website. She seemed to imply that was the wrong entrance for us to have come in through if we weren’t doing activities but how were we to know that when there was no information there. Just one board listing activities and even that was not at the mouth of the carpark. Very, very poor customer relations and not open to learning from customer feedback it seems. Please listen to...

I was here at the weekend for a hen party and highly recommend it! We did the Skytrek activity (zipline, climbing wall, low ropes, high ropes, free fall and archery) and it was both very challenging and very fun.

We were really well looked after by Robert - he was great craic, very personable, patient and friendly and most importantly made sure everyone was okay and safe throughout. He was very reassuring and on the few occasions when some of us had issues he was over straight away to help out. If you get Robert you'll know you're in safe hands!

We followed this with lunch which was organised by the staff, and then went to the Mountain entrance for the Black Bull Run which was again really good fun - we each got three goes at this, it's fairly quick but definitely worth it, it rounded off our day there really nicely.

I'd also like to mention Shannon who I dealt with when making the booking - she was really helpful and friendly and was very patient with all the chopping and changing that comes hand in hand with organising a hen do!

Great staff, great day's activities, highly recommend all round.

Oh and thanks for organising the great weather for us, that was a...

Money has been invested into this area of the Colin Glen Forest Park and it is good. However I decided to go further on up past where the zip line area of the park is located. I haven't explored the upper part of Colin Glen in many years, probably 20 years, but it has been left to ruin. The pathways are not fit for purpose at all and you would need to have proper walking boots on to be safe. I got as far where a bridge once existed, it doesn't anymore so that's where I stopped as I couldn't risk crossing the river to further explore what's left of a once beautiful part of that forest. It's sad that this part of the Colin Glen has been left to ruin while the lower parts have had big investment. I don't understand why this is the case at all. It's shameful to be honest. Spent many summer days in that part of the Colin Glen as a kid, it's sad it's not been respected like...

We visited Colin Glen to do the Gruffalo Trail with our 2- and 3-year-olds and really enjoyed it. The forest park is lovely and the trail is great fun, with figures of all the characters from the Gruffalo story along the way – the kids loved spotting them. Just a tip: make sure to park at the Visitor Centre rather than the Forest Park car park, as the latter is quite far away and you’ll end up walking the trail back-to-front, which means tackling some big hills that aren’t ideal with young children. The signage could also be clearer, as it’s a bit confusing in places. The Visitor Centre has a café, though it’s a bit run down and could do with some updating. Overall, a very enjoyable visit and definitely worth doing with young kids.

A group of us went on the Skytrek and it was amazing, we didn't realise that wall climbing, zip lining and jumping 40feet down where included. Our instructor was full of energy and fun, as well as being encouraging when we had wobbly legs! Would recommend to anyone! We also when tobogganing on the black mountain course and maybe because we've all been tobogganing in other countries like Germany, we had high expectations and sadly they were not met. The course barely lasted 40 seconds before it was over. £15pp for less than 3 minutes of "fast" speed! It was definitely a come down after the amazing high ropes! You should have made it far bigger or not bothered at all!

Colin Glen, located just outside Belfast, is a premier adventure park spanning 200 acres of scenic woodland. It offers a variety of attractions suitable for all ages, including Ireland's only official Gruffalo Trail, high-ropes courses, archery, and laser tag. Adrenaline seekers can enjoy the Black Bull Run, Ireland's first Alpine Coaster, and the Forest Flyover zipline, which is the longest in the country. The park also features state-of-the-art sports facilities, including a driving range and a 9-hole golf course. With multiple entrances catering to different activities, Colin Glen is a popular destination for families and adventure enthusiasts alike
