Brilliant play cafe at the Den, for toddlers, lots of crafts and toys outside. Turn into the car park and keep driving up through to the car park at the back. The signage could be better. Great outdoor children's play area. Great food and drink. Brilliant to also be able to see the goats, turkeys, sheep, chickens and peacocks by the car park. We'll definitely be back!

Such a lovely village complex. A little farm, beauty salon, restaurant, clothes shop, garden centre and store, not to mention a childrens play group facility. There’s plenty of parking and it’s nice to see the wildlife roaming free around you. Ideal for a little morning or afternoon out of the house! Fun for all ages.

Quaint village location, ample free parking. Sorry to say but I found the shops rather lacklustre, helpful staff but dreary products on offer to buy. Bistro seemed popular and next to a stream with geese to see. A dog spa, beauticians, wedding cake shop and garden centre also present.

We booked for lunch at 2.00pm on New Years Day. We were asked by the restaurant to change our booking to 2.30pm which we agreed to. When we arrived the restaurant full. We were kept waiting in the entrance for 25 minutes with no word of apology or offer of drinks. Walk in customers were served whilst we were left waiting for a table. We had paid a £40 deposit and as we were with friends for a celebration we didn't want to spoil the day by walking out or complaining. When we eventually sat down at 2.55pm the paper table cloth was soiled in several places with gravy from the previous customers. The service was rushed they did not have time to wait whilst we all chose drinks, and whilst the waitress did return to complete the order it was all very much of a rush. The food looked like it had been standing a while when it was served, three of the main courses were a little dried up. To be fair the cold desserts were nice. At 4.00 it was clear the restaurant was closing. Tables were cleared. We had only been given a one hour to eat a three course meal .Our bill arrived on the table without it being requested which gave us the distinct feeling it was time to go.We had no opportunity to order after dinner drinks, tea or coffee. It was my impression the restaurant was over booked and I strongly suspect this why we were asked to move our booking time. However it is no excuse for the dining experience we had. The lack of curtesy and non existant apology for the poor service compounded the issue. A...

A first visit to a quirky place. A mixture of several shops on the one site. There seems to be the usual car clientele that unless they can park at the front (which is rammed with cars) they turn around a leave. Maybe making the signage clear there’s two large car parks if you drive thru to the rear might help.

Potting Shed :: Had coffee and buns which were lovely but having to use the loos in the near-dark is a new experience. The loos are shut at 3:30 (closes at 4:00) for cleaning so you have to use the Disabled/Baby Change loo. But the main bulb had broken/popped or the wiring has failed (who knows!! read on). Instead it’s running on the dimmest Fire Alarm/Emergency light. When I went to tell the staff the bulb had popped I was told it’s intentional to run it off the Emergency Building Reg' Light (!!!). They don’t plan on using the proper light anytime soon. How the hell any parent could see properly to change their babies nappy etc.. is a mystery. And a deeper mystery of why the staff were positively indignant at being informed the main light wasn't working. Weird...

Not been before so went with a view if trying somewhere weve not been before. We were quickly seated and in pleasant surroundings. The menu was small and a struggle for my oh to find something he fancied. Our food came quickly and there was definitely a large amount of salad on the plate. My oh had the brisket sandwich which he enjoyed just too much salad costing which he didnt eat which made this and expensive choice. The quiche was ok although quite chilled in the middle I was unclear whether this was intended to be hot or cold. Lots of salad which I enjoyed.

I would say the meals are in the expensive side as neither meal came with anything other than a pile of salad not to everyone taste.

Would I go back probably not, there are lots of other eateries which offer greater choice and are not quite so expensive. Lunch for 2 with coffees was...
