Very limited parking. Recently updated park. While some of it is nice (like a zip wire), a lot seems really pointless and a bit of a waste of money. Why they removed the big slide that went down the hill, I don't know as that was the key feature. There are some nice open green spaces and various footpath roots to walk. A little over grown at times, but currently a lot of loose earth from the playground works. Unfortunately rubbish everywhere on June 26th. Not sure why, odd that there was so much in bags and not just overflowing bin. Shame really.

Visited this place for an early morning walk. Parking is limited to a muddy trail. If you have dogs, this is the best place to take your dogs to. It’s huge vast space dedicated to dog walkers. Downside is that it’s quite muddy, and you will end up in a mess when you go there on a rainy day. I would recommend this place for anyone with dogs. Scenic views of huge meadows and fresh air but beware of having to deal with dirty shoes later.

Didn’t get much time to walk around but was quite impressed about the little I saw. Could be kinda creepy though if you’re there alone

Hmm tricky one. It's been updated since I was just here and I'm some ways it better, in other ways not so good. The playground when you enter is definitely better as is the addition of the zip line and bits. The replacement for the old metal train climbing frame is a bit erm.. lack luster and in my opinion doesn't really work. The long slide that was removed is a real shame but I understand why however it could have been relocated rather than removed. Would I go again? Yes. Is it better then my original 3...

Known as a dogging location. Each to their own, and all that, but night-time users tend to leave unpleasant detritus lying around for children to find the next day 😣

From the Basingstoke council website: "Once part of a private estate, the Lime Pits now provides an opportunity for walking, playing and picnicking. The site forms part of the Basingstoke Canal Heritage Footpath Trail, running across Basingstoke common and finishing at Basing House. It follows a route rich in wildlife and...
