Lovely walk around the lake at clumber Park , plenty of nature trails and tree line walks around the lake but has recently been ruined by the high entry prices to clumber park. Although if you go after 6pm it is still free entry but the cafe is closed and the ice cream vans have gone home! Even in the summer !!! Lots of ducks & swans on the lake so take a load of bread !

Fantastic National Trust location with plenty of walking or cycling routes over many acres of land, all centered around the lake. When it gets busy just head off the main route around the lake and there's plenty more to discover such as the kitchen gardens, pleasure grounds, numerous bird feeding stations, the incredibly friendly squirrels.

Beautiful acres of trees and walks. So many swans! Many walks are wheelchair /pushchair friendly. Highly recommend for an Autumn walk. The cafe is lovely though can get crowded and isn't particularly cheap. Take a picnic and enjoy the views.

A lovely place. Quite a small ornamental lake constructed originally in front of what was the large house, which burnt down over a century ago. There is a well maintained path around 3/4 of it crossing the water over a lovely Victorian bridge (now being restored) at the west end & the dam at the east. The walk right around the circumference I would estimate about 4miles. The lake has abundant water foul. The banks are partly open land & partly wooded. In the past the Duke of Newcastle kept a model of a wooden Man of War...

Lovely country park with plenty of walking and cycle routes. However very expensive. Entry fee is per person not car, so if there are four of you it costs £14 to have a walk around the lake. It's worth it if you are spending the day, but not just for a few hours. I think the national trust need to revise the entry fee as this will put a lot of people off that maybe only want to spend a few hours in the park. Also bring your own food and drink as again if there are a few of you the food and drink...

I love going to clumber park as it's only a few miles from where I live and being national trust members it's free to go in. They have changed the way you get charged per person in a car instead of a car rate regardless of how many people in the car. The lake it's self is normally full of wildlife depending on time of year. It's very large and you don't feel crowded. Thier is a quite end to the lake which can be accessed via the...
