On 16/07/25, I went for a walk to Clement Wilson Park in South East Belfast. Here lies hidden history. As well as a walk along a footway that goes through a nature reserve, you also come to what was in The 19th Century a canal with a lock at the end of it. The Lock keeper who worked at the lock, lived in a cottage beside the lock & what was at one time a shed, is now An Inn, where you can sit down & have a cup of tea, coffee or a fresh drink. I have never been here before, so it had me astonished at what I saw here. The car park for The Lock keeper’s cottage & Inn is on The Milltown Road beside Shaws Bridge. You then proceed down a pathway under the new bridge along side The River Lagon. As you walk along the path, keep going on till you see a cottage & shed & then, turn left over a foot bridge and you’re there. It’s well worth a visit and experience what it would have been like 150/200 years ago here....

Go somewhere else and don't be selfish. Clement Wilson park is...
